There is extensive skiing in the valley; 75 lifts spread over 6 ski areas within 10-20 mins drive from the house. Some of the lifts in Orcières 1850 are also open in the summer for walkers and mountain-bikers. The Champsaur valley also contains approximately 500km of marked footpaths and mountain-bike trails. The river along the valley floor is available for fishing and canoeing.

The nearby town of Gap (the highest prefecture in France) has all you need in the way of larger shops, hypermarkets etc, together with a picturesque old centre.
